The Chinese Revolution
Producer: Benjamin Brodsky
Production Company: Oriental Film Company
1912 | B&W | 9min (Incomplete) | D Beta | Silent with English Intertitles
The enterprising Brodsky produced this reconstruction of the 1911 revolution against the Qing Dynasty and advertised it as an "exploitation" film in U.S. publications. Most of the film's original length of 2,000 feet was lost, but the U.S. Library of Congress managed to preserve a 300-feet segment, a copy of which had been acquired by the Hong Kong Film Archive.
