Search for Brodsky was inspired by the legends surrounding Brodsky, whose life and work had been recorded in often conflicting accounts himself. When the Chinese Taipei Film Archive acquired a copy of A Trip Through China, interests on Brodsky was raised in Taiwan. Xie Chia-kuen and Liao Gene-fon, who teach at the Taiwan University of Arts, launched a campaign to uncover the mysteries about Brodsky and recorded their efforts in this delightful documentary.
