Barely able to take care of himself, a divorced man (Lau Ching-wan) is suddenly asked to take care of his estranged 9-yearold son (Lam Bo-lun) for two weeks. Place a naïve young child in the hands of a vulgar man-child, and sparks are sure to fly. Pleasantly comedic with a lot of heart, Raymond To's script is witty and expertly crafted in terms of structure. Even with a sitcom-like premise that we may have already seen countless times, To is still able to express a unique world view without deviating heavily from the genre formula. Just as the Chinese title says, all a family needs to do sometimes is to learn put down their pride and say these five simple words: "Thank you" and "I love you."
